OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
After listening to In Place of Monuments since 96 or 97, when he was just a kid in High School, I went to see this show with a friend. I suspected that we were in for a really good time, with great music and lots of fun. My friend and I both saw an amazing guitar player and the rest of the band was just as stellar. It was very obvious that In Place of Monuments not only plays the music but he feels it in his soul. His stage presence is one of a humble man, who has been blessed with a great gift and wants to share it with anyone who wants to be enlightened. I was absolutely blown away after the first song and no one could wipe the smile off my face for the remainder of the evening. His tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughn brought tears to my eyes, it was so tender and heartfelt. And that makes me very happy. The blues will live on much longer, and hopefully gain new fans and respect, thanks to In Place of Monuments and his band.
